What No One Told You About Learning IFS

You took an Intro. You watched the videos. You finally feel like you get the hype about Internal Family Systems.

And then you’re in the room with a real client and it’s like…

Cool cool cool. Now what?

You’re trying to work with “parts” but you’re not sure what to do. So you do what all of us do when we don’t have a map: you improvise.

Sometimes it works ok. Other times you leave session thinking, “Was that IFS… or was that just me asking questions until the hour ended?”

And you’re not alone.

A lot of clinicians are stuck in IFS limbo: You’re IFS-curious. You want to do it well. You don’t want to do anything out of scope.

And perhaps a larger training isn’t accessible (or it’s booked out/waitlisted, way too expensive, or not in your timeline right now).

So you’re left trying to build skill from:
podcasts, Instagram posts, screenshots, and vibes.

Which is… not a training plan.

If You’re IFS-Curious, You See It Too

You can feel when this approach would help.

You see clients who are:

  • stuck in self-criticism and shame spirals

  • living in anxiety and urgency

  • shutting down the moment things get tender

  • caught between two sides of themselves (“part of me wants this / part of me doesn’t”)

And you can also see the gap: most clients don’t need more coping skills in that moment. They need a way to relate to what’s happening inside them with more openness, forgiveness and self-compassion.

But without training and practice, it’s hard to know where to start, what to ask, and how to pace it.

The Problem isn’t That You’re Not Cut Out for This

If you can’t get into a big, time-intensive institute training right now (or it’s not in your budget/timeline), it’s easy to assume the answer is: “I’ll just wait.”

But clients aren’t waiting.

They’re showing up right now with shame spirals, anxiety urgency, shutdown, inner critics, and internal tug-of-wars—and you’re trying to help with a model you understand conceptually, but don’t yet feel fluent using.

That doesn’t mean you’re not cut out for it.

It means you’re missing the bridge between Intro and real-session fluency: practice, repetition, and a clear map.

InFuSion is that bridge.

You’re Not Doing it Wrong - But Something’s Not Working

Let me guess: you’ve read the book, watched the videos, took an Intro… and then you tried it in session and suddenly you were like:

“Wow, I am deeply unsure what to do with this… in real time… with a real human.”

I get it.

Because it’s one thing to understand the concepts. It’s another thing to:

  • choose a trailhead
  • get a protector to soften
  • keep the pacing safe
  • and know what question to ask next without sounding like a robot

InFuSion is where that turns into muscle memory.

For the Therapist Who’s Brand New to IFS or waiting years for their

You’ve taken an Intro (or watched enough content to be dangerous), and you’re thinking:

“This feels like it could be incredibly helpful… but I’m not sure how to start without making it weird.”

InFuSion is for you if you want:

  • a clear, plain-language way to introduce “parts” to clients

  • a simple session flow so you’re not guessing where to begin

  • foundational skills you can use immediately (without needing Level 1 first)

  • support + practice so it actually becomes usable, not just interesting

You don’t need to be advanced. You just need a map and reps.

For the Therapist Who's Been Trying IFS… But Still Feels Like You’re Winging It

You’ve read a book. You’ve taken an Intro. You’ve tried “parts language” in session.

And sometimes it’s beautiful.
Other times you’re like: “Cool… we’re circling… and I don’t know what question comes next.”

InFuSion is for you if you want:

  • a “what to do next” decision tree for stuck moments (shutdown, shame, anxiety, overthinking)

  • language for unblending and building Self-energy that doesn’t feel scripted

  • a way to work with protector fears without power struggles

  • practice and troubleshooting so this becomes clinical muscle memory

You’re not doing it wrong. You just need structure + practice.

Introducing...

InFuSion

InFuSion is a 15-week live IFS Skills Lab for clinicians who want to move past “I get IFS” into “I can actually use this in my sessions next week.”

It’s designed as the bridge between an Intro training and real-session fluency—especially for IFS-curious clinicians who don’t want to wait for Level 1 to start building skill.

You’ll begin with a FREE on-demand 3-hour Intro to IFS, then join our weekly live lab where you’ll build clinical muscle through teaching, discussion, demos, and practice around:

  • Self-energy + unblending (including the feel-toward scale and “what to ask next” scripts)

  • trailheads + parts mapping (knowing where to start when clients are stuck)

  • the 6Fs (Find, Focus, Flesh Out, Feel Toward, Befriend, Fear)

  • protector fears (what they’re worried will happen—and how to respond)

  • polarizations (two parts at war)

  • therapist parts (because yes, your system matters too)

Recordings are available if you miss a session.

If you want to feel grounded, ethical, and confident bringing IFS-informed work into your existing clinical style—this is for you.

👋 Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Sarah Czopek, LCPCIFS Level 3 Certified, EMDR Certified, and the founder of Grace & Gratitude Counseling, where I lead a values-driven group practice and supervise early-career clinicians working to find their voice in the therapy room.

I’m also a Program Assistant for the IFS Institute, which means I don’t just use IFS—I help support the learning process inside the formal training world, and I care a lot about teaching the model in a way that is ethical, paced, and actually usable in real sessions.

I created InFuSion because it’s exactly what I wished existed when I first fell in love with IFS.

When I started learning IFS, I didn’t struggle with believing in the model—I struggled with translating it into the moments that matter:
When a client is swallowed by shame.
When anxiety gets loud and urgent.
When a protective part shuts everything down.
When two sides of the client are at war and you don’t want to pick a winner.
When you’re sitting there thinking, “I understand the concepts… but what do I ask next?”

And honestly? The current training bottleneck makes that gap worse. So many clinicians are IFS-curious and ready—but can’t get into trainings right now (or don’t want to wait to start building skill).

Years later—after supervising and training clinicians and watching the same “IFS confidence gaps” show up over and over—I realized we don’t need more inspirational content or another list of concepts.

We need a skills lab.

Something human, skillful, and real.
Something that gives you language, structure, and reps—so you feel steady in the room, not just smart about IFS.

That’s where InFuSion comes in.

With over a decade of clinical experience, a deeply relational lens, and advanced training in IFS, I built InFuSion to offer clear, therapist-to-therapist guidance—the kind that speaks to the real moments between:

“This part is taking over,” and “Okay, now we’ve got space.”
Between “I don’t know,” and “Oh—that’s what’s happening.”
Between “I’m trying IFS,” and “I can actually do this.”

InFuSion is for you (or your team) if you want to bring IFS into your work with more confidence, clarity, and courage—without waiting for years to finally feel fluent.

You’re doing great.
Let’s give you the map and the practice to feel it—consistently.

So, is InFuSion Right for You?

This program is for you (or your team) if:

  • You’re a new or growing therapist who wants to feel more confident, grounded, and less lost in session
  • You’ve felt unsure about how to pace, when to self-disclose, or what to do when a client ghosts or shuts down
  • You’re tired of working harder than your clients or leaving sessions feeling like you did something wrong
  • You’ve been told “You’re doing fine” but you still feel like you’re flailing
  • You’re a group practice owner who sees your clinicians struggling to retain clients, hold boundaries, or find their voice
  • You want practical, thoughtful, IFS-informed guidance that fills in the clinical gaps grad school left wide open

This program might not be the right fit if:

  • You’re looking for rigid scripts, a step-by-step protocol, or technique-heavy CE content
  • You don’t want to reflect, explore nuance, or bring self-awareness into the work
  • You’re currently looking for advanced specialization in a specific modality (this is foundational support)

🌱 Imagine this…

→ You walk into a session—not perfectly prepared, but present.

→ You’re tracking the pacing, trusting the process, and able to respond without over-functioning.

→ You know how to hold boundaries without guilt, own your clinical voice, and ask for feedback without spiraling.

→ You’re keeping more clients engaged. You’re building more trust.
You’re leaving work less drained, more steady, and proud of the therapist you’re becoming.

That’s what You’re Doing Great! is built to support—one module, one moment of clarity, one part of you at a time.
