MOTHERHOOD

"We can't really give to our children what we don't have ourselves. In that sense, my greatest gift to my daughter is that I continue to work on myself." - Marianne Williamson

MOM LIFE IS HARD.

Yep. We said it.

Despite there being approximately 4,562,145 parenting books on the market, there actually is no instruction manual for motherhood. Most of us? Well, we're flying by the seat of our pants, trying to do the best we can with whatever tools we have.

Unfortunately, we are often left feeling overwhelmed by the demands of motherhood and let down or unsupported by those around us.

WHAT IF YOU COULD CHANGE THE STORY?

WHAT IF YOU FELT LESS ALONE IN THE STRUGGLE?

Overwhelm. Perfectionism. Burnout. Mom Guilt. Rage. Comparison. Overthinking. Losing yourself.

Whatever you are facing, we promise you are not the only one who has been there. Society likes to trick us into thinking we are alone when we really aren't. If you've ever been the victim of scrolling through "highlight reels" on social media, then you know what we mean. Everyone's lives look perfect on the outside! In reality, the term "hot mess mom" holds a lot more truth. We're here to help you see the real picture. You are NOT alone, and we're all in this mess of motherhood together

WHAT IF YOU COULD KEEP YOUR S*@T TOGETHER?

Some days it can feel like we are going to completely lose our ever-loving minds! We're often sleep deprived, always on the go, planning way too many things to keep track of at once, and managing difficult kid behaviors, all while trying to stay sane. It's no easy task.

What you may not know is that there are tricks to helping you regulate your body and emotions so that you can parent calmly - even when things get crazy. Our therapists can teach you coping skills and mental health strategies for life's toughest moments, including the stress and burnout that often come with the territory of mommin'.

WHAT IF YOU COULD HEAL FROM YOUR OWN CHILDHOOD...AND GIVE YOUR KIDS A BETTER ONE?

Ooof. We all want the best for our children, but sometimes find ourselves yelling, rolling our eyes, or scoffing at them when we KNOW it isn't the right thing to do. Why? Because it's really dang hard to not repeat the patterns of invalidation, reactivity, criticism, and absenteeism that were often modeled to us in our own childhoods. The good news is that you CAN break those cycles, and it is much easier to do with a seasoned therapist who specializes in helping you make the past-present connections necessary for creating true, lasting change.

WE CAN HELP.

Grace & Gratitude Counseling was started by fellow mom and clinical therapist Sarah Czopek in 2020, as a lifeline for women with anxiety and trauma. Every therapist we hire is handpicked for their experience serving our niched client base of women struggling with overthinking, toxic perfectionism, stress/burnout, people-pleasing, and other concerns. Our clinicians use a combination of modalities including talk-based therapies and trauma informed interventions to help you heal not just for the short term, but for the long term.
